SG Crescent-Farm Ricotta 2*M

Ricotta is the second doeling we purchased from Crescent-Farm. We really liked what we saw in Chasta and the opportunity of getting her full sister crossed with their buck, Jasper, was something we really liked. So, we ended up with an extra addition to our herd. And I think we'll be really happy with her.

2014 Update: Ricotta freshened this spring with lovely udder. She has matured nicely and we are very happy with her. She is milking well, peaking at 8.9 lbs. and is now on our milk string for the dairy. We are retaining her doeling as well.

2015 Update: Ricotta has done so well this year. She truly has amazing lactations! She peaked at 11.6 on test, and still seven months later is milking over a gallon!! We also are retaining one of her buck kids from this year as our new junior herd sire!!

2016 Update: This year Ricotta really had a wonderful year! She had healthy quads. She peaked at about 11 #. She also has taken the well deserved place of the oldest doe in the barn. We look forward to seeing Ricotta continue to serve us as she enters her sunset years.
