Bruchko is out of one of our favorite first fresheners this year. Chelly has a lovely, well attached udder and perhaps the most level, consistent lactations in our herd. Bred back to Valence, our SR herdsire, last year, we were very excited to see these kids.
We are very happy both with Chelly and the kids and decided to retain both Bruchko and his sister, Chimmer, for now. Bruchko is to young to be of much use this year as a sire, but we plan on making good use of him next season.
2015 Update: We are using Bruchko fairly heavily this year and are really looking forward to seeing his kids in spring.
