ROYAL HIGHLANDS CSA FRESH PRODUCE SHARES

For the 2016 season, we are offering two types of produce shares. We have a traditional weekly CSA share which we pack with a variety of produce and you pick up at weekly drop points. We also have a free choice market share, where you pick what you want from our selection at one of our Farmer's Market Booths.  Either way you will get a great deal on fresh, healthy, locally grown produce. We look forward to partnering with you to support local food!

Weekly Fresh Produce  Share Questions and Answers

WHAT IS CSA?  WHAT IS A SHARE?

CSA is Community Supported Agriculture.  It's like buying a subscription to garden-fresh food!  Each week through the growing season you'll receive a box of fresh produce.  What's in the box will change in variety and volume as the season progresses, so that you're always getting the freshest food right out of our garden---local produce at it's best!  We will pack your boxes, and have them ready and waiting for you at our drop point.

An example of a spring share might include:  2 heads of lettuce or 1 bag of salad mix , bunch of chard, bunch of carrots, baby beets, radishes, kale, peas, cilantro, parsley, spinach, bok choy, rhubarb, and green onions.

An example of an August share might include: tomatoes, 2 heads lettuce or 1 bag of salad mix, bunch of chard, bunch of carrots, spinach, green beans, green onions, zucchini, cucumbers, yellow crookneck squash, bunch of beets, broccoli and basil.

WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE KALE OR ???

Our CSA boxes are customizable.  Once you have signed up we will send you a welcome letter to find out if there are certain items you would prefer to substitute.  For example, maybe you do not like kale and would prefer an extra head of lettuce or an extra bunch of Swiss chard.  We will happily substitute items of equal value assuming they are available.

ADD-ONSflowerboquets

We have many additional items that we offer such as:  Fresh Raw Goat Milk, Chevre and Pudding, Free Range Chicken Eggs, Homemade Breads and Baked Goods, and Flower Bouquets.  Also in season we may offer Greenbluff cherries, apples, etc.....    In your welcome letter you will receive after signing up it will include more information on these items and check boxes to notify us which of these you may have interest in.

For more information regarding additional products, click Here for our Products page.

DROP POINT LOCATIONS

In 2016 we are currently offering our shares firstly to our local area residents and potentially the Hayden/CDA areas.  You may choose to pick your boxes up either in Oldtown between 12:30-1:30pm or in Priest River between 6-7pm (exact location will be announced prior to first pick up date).  If neither of these work for you, please contact us for alternative options.

PAYMENTS

Upon signing up for a CSA share we require a non-refundable $100 deposit.  The balance needs to be paid in full by June 1st.  We prefer payment to be made with cash or check as we try to keep our prices/costs down and Paypal/Credit Card Companies charge a fee.  Once the season has begun, the fee for your share is non-refundable unless there is an exceptional circumstance in which case please contact us.  If for some reason you are unable to complete the season or get your weekly box your box will be donated or redistributed to the other share holders.
